Refurbished 2017 Chevy Camaro, to meet the challenges of Dodge Challenger – Before a few months the sixth generation Chevrolet Camaro SS was unveiled. There were some other models also undergoing changes and were getting ready to join the new line up of Camaro. They were Camaro ZL1 and Camaro Z/28. A recent video in the YouTube shows a camouflaged ILE hinting that the Chevy is working on ILE replacement also. The ILE bundle which was originally offered in the year 1999, remained in the background with rarely selling more than 100 unites every year. The ILE returned again in 2013 as a package consisting of 1 SS and 2 SS trims including ZL1 parts and a six speed manual transmission.
2017 Chevrolet Camaro preview
Though the prototype is completely camouflaged from front to the rear, certain hints show that it is not a regular Camaro. Though the engine hood and the bumper seem to be identical to the SS, the splitter in the incoming vehicle is bigger. The spoiler at the back is Gurney styled and is not a small wing as seen on the SS. Beefier tires and wider track are the other differences that are easily noticeable. This tire setup is likely to be seen in its ZL1 also. After the removal of the camouflage, a blacked-out body parts and matt-black engine are expected to be revealed.
2017 New Chevy Camaro interior
The changes that are going to take place in the interior 2017 Chevy Camaro remain a mystery till now. Taking cues from previous ILE one can imagine it to be similar to SS with an array of sporty features. Flat bottomed steer wheel and the short-throw shifter are trimmed beautifully in suede microfiber. Whether the ILE package is attached to 2SS or 1SS trim is not yet known and so standard equipment cannot be predicted. Whatever be the trim, ILE is expected to get Chevy’s updated infotainment system MyLink with its 8 inch screen and the eight inch instrument cluster which can be configured as per the requirements of the user.

Six speed manual transmission is available for the ILE whereas SS will also have eight-speed 8L90 automatic transmission. Rev-matching technology borrowed from Corvette Stingray is available in the manual transmission.
