Ford has understood that the current escape introduced in the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show is done and the time is ripe for its replacement by a newer model vehicle. So they introduced an updated model in the present auto show. This incoming compact crossover vehicle beams with confidence as the new EcoBoost engine and latest tech features provided in this vehicle are attracting car enthusiast to this long anticipated next generation SUV. The feature-packed new compact crossover 2017 Ford Escape is longer and sleeker than the outgoing vehicle. The longer and larger bay and the hands free remote controlled tailgate are appealing to families with small kids. The automatic cruise control which automatically controls the gap between the vehicles in your front based on the traffic congestion is boon in this world of ever increasing traffic congestion.

In the exterior of the 2017 Ford Escape, we see six-edged chrome grille with two horizontal bars for holding the blue oval in the middle. Updated HID headlights decorated by LED running lights with a few sharp angles provide an attractive face to the vehicle. Two faux openings down below the bumper are provided for positioning the fog lights in an attractive manner. The belt line which runs under the windows kinks upward as it reaches the D-pillar. The accent line through the door handles gives a wider look to the vehicle. Tail lights at the rear are new. Dual exhaust pipes are provided under the bumper with a 2’ trailer hitch receiver.

The enhanced system including reverse perpendicular parking isstandard in the Titanium package. The Lane Departure system provides warning pulses which are felt through the vibrations in the steer wheel when the vehicle starts deviating from lane without prior signaling. Ford’s Sync 3 infotainment system connected to the incoming vehicle is self-contained one for all your entertainment needs and it provides hard buttons and knobs replacing the touch sensitive controls in the earlier version. The latest cruise control provided in the vehicle allows you to select desired speed and the space the gap between the vehicles in front of you. As the radar sensor senses the changes in traffic flow in front of you, it changes the pre-selected gap to suit the new situation. When the traffic is cleared, it resets the gap automatically making your journey safer and convenient in 2017 Ford Escape.
There are two engine options. The mid-range engine is a 4-cylinder, 1.5 liter EcoBoost engine that should be able to deliver around 180 horses and 185 lb-ft of torque. Optional engine will be available only with Titanium and SE trim levels and it is 2.0 liter EcoBoost engine, powered by turbo charger with twin-scroll that helps to create 245 horsepower and 275 lb-ft torque. The standard engine for S models will be a carryover from its predecessor – 2.5-liter i-VCT 4-cylinder engine that produces 168 HP and 170 lb-ft of torque. All these engines are available only with 6-speed automatic transmission while SE and Titanium models have optional paddle-shifter technology. The 2017 Ford Escape towing capacity has its maximum with Titanium trim level with 2.0-liter engine – 3,500 lbs.
As the new crossover 2017 Ford Escape has already been shown in the Los Angeles Auto Show during this month, it may be available in the dealerships by the second half of 2016 or it may even extent to the first half of2017. The base price of this vehicle is expected to be around $ 24,000.
